Australia has all sorts of creepy crawlies that that you need to look out for...on land and in the ocean. One of my biggest fears in the ocean is sharks...I ain't havin' none of that! Well now the land Down Under has brought it to a whole new level.

Lifeguards blew their whistles to signal danger - but it wasn't for a shark, it was for an Eastern Brown Snake... one of the most poisonous snakes in the world! You can bet my ass would be high tailing it out of there!

When Vacations Attack

Happy Friday! Today I want to share with you some amazing pictures of some killer whales that were spotted off the northern Mexico coast.

 

Beachgoers in the Mexican Border town of Tijuana witnessed a rare sight earlier this week. Onlookers were able to watch two pods of killer whalre harass some dolphins, perhaps teaching their young how to hunt.

 

These Eastern Tropical Pacific killer whales, which are found off Mexico and Central America, are not commonly seen off the northersn Baja California coast, especially so close to shore.

How would you like to be on vacation in Australia and you're just chillin' on a beach and then all of a sudden you see something terrifying *insert JAWS soundtrack here* but its not a shark! Its a 12-ft (3.657m) crocodile!  That's what happened on Cable Beach in Western Australia!

When Vacations Attack

This month I have 2 really crazy stories about bad things happening while people are on vacation.

The first one is when a bull that was being transported for a festival in Spain escaped and started running around in traffic! Nobody was injured. You can watch the video here.

The second one was taken from a helmet cam of a motorcyclist near Hope, British Columbia. They were traveling along Highway 7 when a young black bear ran out in front of him and the two collided! Pretty CRAZY! Watch the video here.

In Kruger National Park in South Africa an angry elephant showed just how upset he was by shattering the window of a tourist's vehicle. Tourists are allowed to drive around the reserve without a safari guide. Guess they won't be getting their deposit back on the rental car.

You may remember back in February when I posted about this couple in South Africa that had been attacked by a rhino! Well I have another one for you today (actually this has been sitting in my files since April so I figured I might want to post it before its OLD news).

Two tourists visiting South Africa's Kruger National Park needed medical attention after an elephant charged and over turned their car! I think its a good idea that if you are on a safari that you keep your distance from the WILD animals. They may seem tame since they live on a reserve but they are still wild and should be admired from a far.

Today marks 2 years blogging and sharing mine and others stories. Hope you have enjoyed it all so far!

I found this article while I was checking the weather one morning at weather.com. This couple was on a nature reserve in South Africa and their guide told them it was okay to get this close to the rhinos… Well…right after this picture was taken the rhino attacked the woman. As far as I know she only suffered from a collapsed lung. I think we should all us our best judgment and not stand that close to any animal that large and with a big horn on its nose!
